MISSION-E: The Kangaroo

This book is about a little girl who has a kangaroo friend. This kangaroo is sneaky. He plays nice with people, but then he steals their stuff when they are not watching. The little girl and the kangaroo go to a friend’s house, there will be a celebration of kangaroo’s birthday. But once again he steals the presents and the cake. The kids call the police and an investigation starts to find who stole all the stuff. The main suspect is Emily, the girl from the beginning of the story, but in the end, they find out who the real thief is… This story is very entertaining! There is a bit of everything in there, fun, suspense, silliness, excitment…all great ingredients for kids to have a great time reading. The illustrations are my favorite part of it all, Kieron is an amazing artist and was able to create very unique and interesting characters, they are full of dynamic and so expressive. The style reminds us of the golden years of Disney cartoons like WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT. I absolutely love this book and its amazing liveliness. I strongly recommend it!
